North Side is generally considered to begin to the north of Scott's Addition, Downtown and Church Hill and comprise areas of both Richmond City and Henrico County. Prominent neighborhoods include Bellvue, Ginter Park, Lakeside and Highand Park.
Much of the areas history can be traced to Lewis Ginter, wealthy industrialist, who developed much of the area.
North Side is home to the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, Joseph Bryan Park and The Richmond International Raceway Complex.
